Manteca Education and Training Center (METC), located on the Manteca Unified School District campus, offers a wide variety of classes for both adults and high school students, including Adult Basic Education, High School Equivalency, English as a Second Language, Career Technical Education, Adult Transition Program, and Independent Study.

Registration

To register for classes at METC, please visit our main office and fill out a registration form. For English Language Learner, Adult Basic Education, or High School Equivalency class, you will be required to take an assessment exam for placement. Some classes have associated fees.

Program Requirements

Adult Basic Education (ABE) 

  • Bring a valid Identification Card
  • Allow at least 2 hours for a placement test
  • Get your welcome packet with registration information

High School Equivalency (HSE)

  • Bring a valid Identification Card
  • Allow at least 2 hours for a placement test
  • Meet with Counselor for class placement 

English as a Second Language (ESL) 

  • Bring a valid Identification Card
  • Allow at least 2 hours for a placement test
  • Get your welcome packet with registration information 

Carrer Technical Education (CTE)

  • Bring a valid Identification Card
  • Fill out application form
  • Get placed in classes 

Adult Transition Program (ATP)

  • Contact special education services for placement

Independent Study (IS)

  • Contact your High School Counselor
